Producer Reel

My passion for producing music...       I love producing records. When I write songs, I always hear them produced as I write, and that seems to inspire the writing process... So in addition to being a writer, I've been producing my own music since I first started in the music business. At that time, it was very difficult for a female artist to write and produce herself but I was fortunate to find some great allies along the way.

When I first moved to NYC from New Jersey, the first managers I worked with were Carlos and Don with Aviator Music. Don Puluse was the head engineer at Columbia Records, NYC and later went on to head the engineering program at Berklee School of Music. He supported my goal of self-production 100% and I learned so much about recording from him and the experiences during that time.

Later, while living in London, I also absorbed a great deal from Greg Walsh, a producer I worked with while signed to Savage Records in the UK. We produced three records together which were never released... yup a long story... but I experienced some very high-end studio sessions and loved working with Greg and his particular slant because he came from a musicians end of producing as opposed to an engineer-turned-producer.

During my time in London and subsequently when I relocated to NYC after leaving Los Angeles in 2003, I  started producing other artists, and also began managing new artists and bands. I'm excited to feature these tracks here, on this site.

Some of the more recent artists that I have had the fortune to produce are: Rachel Millman and her debut single,  “Throwin' Rocks at the Moonwhich was a great project. I am mentoring, marketing, and managing Rachel as well through KeyMedia Group and KeyMedia PR. Our work together also includes working on her live set and arrangements with her new band.  Being executive producer for Rachel’s debut EP “IF I BELIEVE” was a particular joy.

Another client I am thrilled to be introducing is Dane Michael Glynn, a very talented 15-year old singer and dancer.  In addition to the songs I scouted for him, he is also recording a few of my own tunes! He had seen some of my videos and wanted to include the songs on his debut EP; I am honored.  I am so pleased to be working with Dane.

Another exciting development is the creation of my Sand Hill Studios, where I am able to work on vocal recordings.  Andy Gabrys out in Santa Fe, New Mexico, is my associate on these projects.   Andy and I met in 2007 when I had the pleasure of his guitar playing backing me during live performances in NYC.

I have learned to not ever doubt the amount of work that it takes...to do what you dream of doing ...and the teamwork involved. My passion for producing continues... to help turn dreams into reality.

An additional exciting development is the creation of my Sand Hill Studios.
